Two environmental expeditions “Dniester 2015” were held in July and August this year for students, scientists, high school teachers, NGO members and media representatives from Moldova and Ukraine.

During the expeditions the participants learnt about the impacts of climate change on hydrological regime, natural disasters, biodiversity and ecosystems of the basin. In addition, the participants discussed adaptation measures and transboundary cooperation in the Dniester river basin.

Expeditions were organized by the International Environmental Association of River Keepers Eco-TIRAS within the ENVSEC/OSCE/UNECE project “Climate Change and Security in the Dniester River Basin” funded by the EU and Austria. The expeditions would not be possible to organize without organizers’ and participants’ positive energy which is illustrated on the photos below.
