The pilot project “Reducing vulnerability to extreme floods and climate change in the Dniester river basin” started in May 2010 in the frame of the Dniester-III project. This project formed the basis for further activities on climate change adaptation within the basin including development and implementation of the project “Climate Change and Security in the Dniester River Basin” which started in 2013. The project is implemented by the UNECE and OSCE with support from the European Union’s Instrument for Stability and the Austrian Development Cooperation as part of the bigger regional project “Climate Change and Security in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Southern Caucasus” in the framework of the Environment and Security Initiative (ENVSEC). You could find information about the afore-mentioned projects following the link and below:
